Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of content on Monroe County Criminal History. Continuing to browse means that you accept all terms stated here. If you do not agree, stop using the website.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website is not connected with a local, Kentucky, or federal government body. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act purposes. It is a Monroe County records reference, not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government affiliation. It neither stores official records nor performs checks, obtains documents, or files forms for a visitor.

Its role is to identify the offices holding Monroe County material, including the sheriff, elected jailer, Circuit Court Clerk, Kentucky State Police repository, and Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry, while also presenting optional outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the website, you agree not to:

  • Use automated scrapers, bots, or similar tools on the pages
  • Harass, threaten, or stalk anyone using information found here
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Use the content for hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decisions
  • Interfere with site performance or another person's access
  • Violate any applicable local, Kentucky, or federal law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Harassment, stalking, intimidation, threats, and discrimination based on this site or a linked tool are forbidden and may violate criminal law. Kentucky registry information is published for public-safety awareness. KRS 17.580 permits public dissemination and good-faith use; it does not authorize vigilantism or misuse against a listed person or household.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Monroe County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and creates no consumer, credit, or background report. Its content and linked tools may not be used to:

  • Evaluate a person's eligibility for a job
  • Make a rental or other housing decision
  • Set insurance eligibility, terms, or rates
  • Determine creditworthiness
  • Make any other decision regulated by the FCRA

For a legally regulated purpose, use the official channel required by Kentucky law or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

The content is not legal advice. General descriptions of Monroe County records cannot determine how a warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement law applies to an individual matter. Seek advice from a Kentucky-licensed attorney.

6. No Warranties

All content is offered "as is," without a guarantee that:

  • An outside search result will be accurate or complete
  • The website will remain available without interruption
  • Every page is free from defects or security issues
  • Information is complete, accurate, or current

Charges, dispositions, sealing orders, and expungements can change a record. Gaps may occur, and nothing published here is an official statement from the Monroe County clerk, sheriff, jailer, Kentucky State Police, or another government body.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links can lead to courts, county offices, state agencies, legal-aid resources, and outside search services. Those sites control their own availability, content, fees, and data practices. Review their terms because Monroe County Criminal History is not responsible for them.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, logos, graphics, and code belong to Monroe County Criminal History or its content partners. Written permission is required before copying, adapting, distributing, or building upon that material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the greatest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for harm arising from use of the site, its content, or a linked service, including a decision based on that information.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold the site harmless against claims, actions, and demands arising from your use or violation of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Kentucky law governs these terms. A dispute tied to use of the website must be brought in a court located in Kentucky. Government-record access remains subject to applicable provisions such as the Kentucky Open Records Act, KRS 61.870 through 61.884, and registry dissemination under KRS 17.580.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A revision takes effect when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or terminated at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue. The affected language is modified only to the extent needed for enforcement.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be submitted through the Contact page.
